ABOUT ME

I have always considered myself a creative person, whilst my brothers and sister were drawn to computer screens, i was always happy with simply a piece of paper and a few colouring pencils and I’ve never drifted away from that. i attended Bacons College and obtained 12 GCSEs including English and Maths. I attended Bacons College sixth form and decided to peruse my love of creativity, during these two years i studied Fine Art, Textiles and English Literature.

i attended a short summer course at Central saint martins based on menswear, i chose to look at FCP (Fashion Communication) in which i studied current and future trends, fashion designers inspirations and interviewed people locally on their clothing choices, i then had the opportunity to photograph designers mens wear clothing, i learnt the basics of photoshooting and how to work the variety of equipment provided.

for a while, i questioned whether it would be the right decision for me to go to uni or not, i was cautious of future work opportunities and the competitiveness of the art industry. however after thinking about it for a while, i decided that Art is what i love and i wouldn’t be happy doing anything else.

i am now undertaking my final year of studying Illustration at Portsmouth University. I’m so happy i made the decision to peruse my dreams of becoming an Illustrator, i have met so many people in the first year at uni who will become a part of my life, I’ve learned so many key skills and have been given so many brilliant opportunities that i wouldn’t have been given if i had decided not to go.
